I am delighted at the fact that more new small bars are located around the Makati area. Less crowds, but still around people I know...there's cheap alcohol, relaxing atmosphere, good conversation (oh wait those are from my friends hehe) and sometimes the occasional great band (SOUND!!! see the link on the left)
last week's sked:
Tuesday: Kidd Creole to catch Sound play in the open area
Thursday: Yaku bar - kinda pricey drinks but jap places are always good! caught the band called Overtone which is composed of 3 guys on guitar, and a box that is actually a whole drumset in one
Friday: old reliable Ponticello - although it was rasta night (parang hindi bagay) the food is still good (breadsticks!hehe) with good service and drinks
Saturday: Nuvo (somehow i seem to get good tables whether upstairs or downstairs that is perfect for intimate conversation) and Tiananmen bar along makati ave. just to show you how much fun i had relaxing in their little room with pillows for chairs, chill out music and serene atmosphere, i stayed there until the sun came up...aaaah the life =) guess i'll be there again next weekend!
other places to see:
Aposento behind Citibank tower - try their kilawin! beer is cheap too
Pipers on C.Palanca - Indio I plays every tuesdays and so does Overtone
I am the drunken master once again! hahahaha
